Whether serial or single unit manufacturing, the tubular heating elements of company Lükon are available in round or flat oval form for every field of application. Their characteristics are a long-life cycle, low consumption values, and an optimized efficiency. Tubular heating elements are being used for heating water, oil, air, gases, and other non-corrosive materials.

Lükon tubular heating elements can be used for hardening, ageing, thermal stress relief, burn-in, polymerization, drying, tempering, testing, pre-heating etc. They can be used for heating water, oil, gases, and other non-corrosive materials. The heating elements are suited for built-in in industrial units, tempering devices, high vacuum ovens, laboratory equipment, room heating appliances, casting moulds, tools, large-scale kitchen equipment, washing machines, dishwashers, baking ovens, chip pans, coffee makers, barbecue grills and many more.

Depending on field of application, special steel in various alloys is being used. Stainless steel, copper, brass and titanium are used fort he jackets. The jacket (shell) encloses a current-carrying heating element made of coiled chromium nickel wire (NiCr 80/20). For insulation, magnesium oxide powder is being used, which is an excellent heat conductor and at the same time an efficient electric insulator.

The rated input of the heating element is transferred to the tube shell due to the very efficient thermal conductivity and the high compression of the magnesium oxide powder. Therefore, a low temperature of the heating element is realized in spite of the high dielectric strength. The ends of the bar are sealed against moisture and dispose of a good creep resistance.

The length of a tubular heating element is minimum 350 mm and maximum 7000 mm (length tolerance ± 2 mm. Every type of shape forming is possible. The following bending rollers are available: 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 mm – other dimensions on request. The shape forming is realized according to drawing or to sample. Lükon tubular heating elements are resistant against vibration and have a long lifespan. 

Temperature range

The maximum allowed surface temperature of tubular heating elements made of chromium nickel steel is approx. 850 °C. On request, special versions up to 1000 °C can be supplied.
